Project Overview:

Bechtel Mining and Metals offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the mining sector across multiple commodities including Iron Ore, Bauxite, Alumina, Aluminium, Copper, Gold, Coal, Lithium and Rare Earths markets.

Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world.

To support ongoing and future project delivery, Bechtel is currently seeking a Office Services Manager to join the team at our sites in GCC countries (Arab states:  Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates).

Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan and coordinate facility office designs, space allocation and moves, write procedures and instructions, provide guidance to administrative personnel, and stay informed of developments in technology, equipment, software applications, programs, and processes.

Your input will help develop and implement new or improved systems and procedures for the facility.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Plans and coordinates detailed phases of the facilities office designs, construction, major moves, renovation activities, space allocation, furniture and equipment control and disbursement, requiring substantial judgment and experience.

  • Develops and implements new or improved systems and procedures​
  • Writes procedures and application instructions​
  • May provide input to subcontractors and suppliers​
  • Provides guidance and/or direction to administrative support personnel.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency and experience in budget management and preparation of work plans.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel, Government and industry standards, practices, and regulatory requirements related to facility management, office services, and records and information management.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including proven success in managing multiple work priorities, driving process improvements, and developing and executing long term plans.
  • Working knowledge in various O&AS disciplines, including knowledge of O&AS policies and programs preferred.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of a diverse, global organization and to make presentations to senior managers, committees, or large gatherings as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to address the concerns of all levels of Bechtel employees and to resolve problems or issues.
  • An experienced senior manager with previous oversight responsibilities directing the activities mentioned above.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on quality, team building, and work process improvement.
