Job Summary
:
Bechtel is looking for a Senior C&I Engineer who has extensive experience with planning and executing greenfield and brownfield with a proven track record seeking technical/leadership challenges in Control systems and Instrumentation field.
Projects ideally in one of the following, Natural gas processing, Coal, gas or biomass to chemicals, Refinery and Petrochemicals, Carbon capture and sequestration, Solar and/or combined cycle power plants, Hydrogen value chain, onshore pipelines, and has familiarity with current process technologies and licensors associated with the above.
The role has a range of responsibilities and will focus on planning and scheduling and conducting evaluations, selections of applications and adaptations of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in one discipline in a project or staff group.
Arranging detailed phases of engineering work require judgment in the application of techniques.

Major Responsibilities:

Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.Performs work using Standard Application Programs and appropriate 2-D and 3-D engineering tools.
Plans, coordinates or prepares equipment or work specifications, bid evaluations and award recommendations for equipment.Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.When delegated, assumes a lead technical role over other engineers or project subgroups for completing specific tasks.Assists in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and provides input for their performance evaluations.Prepares letters to vendors and clients.Prepares and reviews bid analyses and makes recommendation.Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.Performs or assists in the performance of problem analysis and original design.Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders.Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers.Education and Experience Requirements:
A recognized degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license in an appropriate engineering discipline from a recognized licensing board.Experience in executing Middle Eastern projects, brownfield experience and familiarity with Aramco standards and specifications is highly desirable.At least 10 years of related experience in Petrochemical, Energy Transition or Oil and Gas industry.Pre-FEED and FEED experiences in related types projectsRequired Knowledge and Skills:
Extensive knowledge of applicable industry / regulatory codes and standards, and designExtensive knowledge of precedents in the discipline and of principles and practices of related disciplines.Good knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved.Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, materials and software and methods of application for C&I discipline.Knowledge of control and safety systems, including the management of a Main Automation Contractor (MAC) and the BPCS, SIS, FGS and PLCsKnowledge of instrumentation covering both primary and final elementsExperience of Safety Instrumented Functions, HAZOP and LOPA.
Certification as a Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP) or equivalent is desirableHigh standard of oral and written communication, and use of MSOffice applications.Knowledge of typical Engineering Department Procedures, Design Guides, appropriate Standard Computer Applications and administrative practices.Total Rewards/Benefits:
