**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Sr. Pavement Design Engineer** to join our team! In this role you will get to **work on many amazing and state of the art projects in the Kingdom and GCC.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Designing flexible and rigid pavement systems for diverse applications.
+ Performing structural analysis and layer thickness design using mechanistic tools.
+ Evaluating traffic loading, environmental conditions, and material performance.
+ Developing rehabilitation strategies for distressed pavements.
+ Designing temporary haul roads and access pavements for construction traffic.
+ Advising on subgrade treatment, soil stabilization, and ground improvement options.
+ Preparing pavement design packages including cross-sections, details, and BoQs.
+ Supporting cost estimation and lifecycle cost analysis.
+ Integrating pavement design with urban planning and landscape elements.
+ Acting as a senior road designer when required, supporting full geometric design delivery.
+ Work on the layout and design of roadways, intersections, and interchanges.
+ Develop cross-sectional drawings, profiles, and road alignment plans.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Proven experience in designing both flexible and rigid pavements.
+ Strong knowledge of AASHTO, SHC, MOMRAH, and MOT pavement design standards.
+ Hands-on experience with Saudi Arabian infrastructure projects.
+ Proficiency in pavement design software (e.g., BISAR, KenPave, EverStressFE etc).
+ Ability to conduct mechanistic-empirical analysis and interpret results.
+ Experience in designing temporary pavements for construction traffic.
+ Expertise in subgrade design and ground improvement techniques.
+ Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
+ Ability to act as a full-time senior road designer when needed.
+ Solid working experience with Civil 3D and understanding of BIM workflows.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or Transportation Engineering) and 12+ years of related work experience Including more that 5 years experience in working with Saudi Arabian projects.
Masters degree in Transportation / Pavement Engineering will be an added advantage.
+ Experience in designing pavements for public realm and urban mobility zones.
+ Knowledge of sustainable pavement materials and green infrastructure.
+ Familiarity with airfield and helipad pavement design standards.
+ Exposure to pavement lifecycle cost analysis and asset management.
+ Understanding of traffic modeling and its impact on pavement design.
+ Ability to contribute to innovation in pavement technologies and materials.
+ Experience with performance-based specifications and QA/QC protocols.
+ Awareness of climate resilience and environmental considerations in pavement design.
+ Capability to support digital delivery and BIM integration for pavement assets.
+ Strong interpersonal skills for client engagement and team collaboration.
