**Your role and responsibilities**
Learn the ServiceNow platform quickly through structured training, mentoring, and hands-on activities.
Build small features with guidance: client scripts, UI policies, business rules, Flow Designer flows.
Configure forms, lists, and basic workflows for ITSM modules (Incidents, Requests, Knowledge).
Write clean JavaScript for server and client logic, plus simple HTML/CSS for UI tweaks.
Develop and test REST integrations using IntegrationHub or scripted REST APIs.
Create reports and dashboards; document what you build and how to support it.
Follow secure-by-default practices, basic ACLs, and data hygiene.
Work in an agile team: pick up stories, estimate, demo, and retrospect.
Troubleshoot defects, write unit tests, and keep code in Git with clear commits
**Required technical and professional expertise**
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.
Solid programming fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, debugging.
Proficiency in JavaScript; working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL.
Understanding of web services and JSON; able to use tools like Postman.
Familiarity with Git and basic CI concepts.
Strong problem solving, curiosity to learn, and clear written and verbal communication.
Eligibility to obtain ServiceNow Certified System Administrator within 1-2 months.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
Coursework or projects in web apps, APIs, or workflow automation.
Exposure to ServiceNow concepts (CSA study, developer instance, personal labs).
Knowledge of ITSM or ITIL basics.
Experience with one scripting or programming language in addition to JS (Python or PowerShell).
Basic understanding of cloud platforms, authentication, and security fundamentals.
Experience with unit testing, SQL queries, and simple data modeling.
Internship, hackathon, or open-source contributions that show initiative and teamwork.
