Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled SharePoint and Web Application Support Engineer with 4+ years of experience in supporting SharePoint (preferably On-Prem) and .NET-based web applications.
The ideal candidate will have strong application maintenance expertise, practical knowledge of ITSM processes, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working in the Middle East region is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide L2/L3 support for SharePoint On-Prem and .NET-based web applications.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot issues related to SharePoint sites, web parts, workflows, and content databases.
• Support custom .NET applications, perform minor code fixes, and manage deployments.
• Manage incidents, service requests, and change requests using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams for issue resolution and performance optimization.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles for supported applications.
• Participate in application patching, upgrades, and regular maintenance schedules.
• Engage with end-users and business stakeholders to understand and resolve their issues effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in supporting SharePoint (On-Prem preferred) or ASP.NET-based applications.
• Hands-on experience in SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 administration and support.
• Basic .NET Framework understanding and troubleshooting of C# or VB.NET web applications.
• Experience with SQL Server for data extraction and query troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Previous working experience in the Middle East is a strong plus.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams under pressure.
